Every CEO/CIO’s worst NIGHTMARE

And it has just three letters E-R-P.

ERP* software still has a dreadful reputation, according to recent articles in CIO magazine.

Of late companies like #lendlease have publicly stated that they had to write off hundreds of millions because the product was “not be fit for purpose in the emerging digital world in which [it] operated.”

They also stated, “The monolithic nature of the system hindered its ability to make incremental product and service improvements at a time of accelerated technological change.”

So why are ERP technology vendors using the terms “Competitive Differentiation” or “Competitive Edge” if the customers they serve aren’t in agreement?

In my opinion, it’s time for ‘independent’ IT experts to start speaking out.

*ERP (enterprise resource planning) is a type of management software system, helping you to coordinate processes, information, and resources from the same place. This includes inventory, quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, sales, production planning, scheduling & diary, workflow & personnel.

I help SMEs and large corporations, who’ve had enough of being fleeced by IT vendors forcing them to choose between expensive OEM warranties or premature upgrades. I partner with Australian and global businesses who want a partner they can trust based on values, ethics, integrity and rightful data ownership.
